The Idea Of Life Is So Weird

I could be an atheist. I mean the whole idea of life is so weird! As a matter of fact, it’s very weird that there is anything. It seems like there ought to be nothing. Why should there be anything?

Let alone life, all this life. But then, if there truly was nothing. How did there ever get to be something or anything?

No I’d have to be Hindu I think, seeing the spirit of life in all things.. It’s an energy.. Like electricity.. And like the energizer bunny it goes on and on.. It can’t simply cease. But what about a cause.. I’d have to become a Brahmin.. But wait, I was one for a little while when I was in the Rocky Mountains..

Then became apparent the imperfection of what is, and of all things. And so there’s another why, because it seems as though the spirit of life (flowing through all) should not be liable to imperfection.

What was that story about a tree of good and evil..? Does the existence of individual creatures, with rationality, change the fabric of reality? Able to think and reason, they can make choices. This changes everything!

Taking into account the potential perfection of what is, and the perfection of the spark and force called life.. Am I now to think there is no perfection behind this imperfection? If there must be a great cause (brahma) that so perfectly gives life and design, do I now expect humanity to simply be some sort of utter failure? Or is it still part of some greater perfection and design? Can the (‘end’) result be anything less than perfect? Is it possible for chaos to win out? To win even a speck? Or is there something to the promise, “behold I make ALL things new” and how the newness shall be “all in all” and death and the grave (translated hell) will be no more…

The 3 R’s of Christian Universalism are –

  • Universal Repentance
  • Universal Reconciliation
  • Universal Renewal (Born-again)

“All” will Repent (Ps.22:27; Isaiah 45:23) — “All” will be Reconciled (1 Tim.4:10; Jn.12:32) — “All” will be Renewed / “Born Again” (1 Corinthians 15:22–>28; Rev.21:1-5)

Death Consumed by Life

“Death is swallowed up in victory! O Death, where is your sting? O Hades/grave, where is your victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:54-55)

I believe our Heavenly Father is life itself, the life force. (And “is perfect” so everything He does is perfect and He has done all just as He has to bring about the utter best. Perfect makes no mistake, cannot lose anything, not one, for that would not be perfect – logos/logic.)

There being no death – no imperfection, spot, wrinkle, no impurity, no untrue thing – He will be all in all.. no speck of death/imperfection/flaw – Life will swallow all death, like light chases away/consumes darkness.. Light everywhere would be no darkness.. no shadow.. no dark corners..

“Every tongue” and heart “will wholeheartedly confess Jesus is Lord” Philippians 2:11, according to the Greek.

And it’s His administration! His program “of the ages”, His works which accomplishes it! “The Holy Spirit (His Presence) will convince the world of sin” (of “missing the mark”.. the dark-ness of it, it is death. It cannot be allowed, it kills. No one will want it – “the former things will not come to mind, nor come up in the heart”.

“For, lo, I am creating new heavens, and a new earth, And the former things are not remembered, Nor do they ascend on the heart.” – Isaiah 65:17

Lake Of Fire As Earthly Prophecy And Results

Jesus said, “You must be born again.. You shall receive the gift the Father has promised.. The Holy Spirit will come upon you.. I will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire ..Flames like tongues of fire came upon them.. Everyone will be salted with fire..”

Paul wrote – “..Not as though I am already perfect.. but this mortal must put on immortality.. at the last Trump(et)* and those who have fallen asleep in Christ will rise first, then those who are alive and remain.. And so shall we meet the Lord at His coming” (at His epiphaneai – appearing/epiphany/glorious display). [The Greek word meaning “having fallen asleep” #G2837 occurs three times in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-15, and eighteen times in the NT, thirteen of those times referring to being dead/nekros-without life.]

Prophet Zechariah wrote – “In that day his feet will stand on Mount of Olives, and it will split in half by a great earthquake..”

..The tares having gathered to Armageddon, and armies surrounding Israel(?).. A great lake of fire.. in the valley of Har`geddon called Gehenna.. (After smaller ones were “loosed”. All by man, see Rev. 7:1, 13:13, and the last words of 6:4.)

Yahweh, the Father says (much later) in Revelation 21, “Behold I make ALL things new.. in the which the heavens and Earth.. the elements will melt with a furious heat (LOF).. I will now “Tabernacle* with man on Earth made new, in heavens made new. The lion will eat straw like the ox and the bear will graze with the cow”.. Paradise locked into place, because love will rule every heart.. [“God is love” and “love never fails”! He is Life and He “is perfect” therefore anything off course can only be loosed.. and fade away [#G1601].. The result of missing the mark is death. But “God is the savior of all”. And “He knows how to keep the un” – not yet – “righteous for correction upon Day of Judgment* (when) ALL the ends of Earth will remember” – Hebrew word, “will come to their senses – and turn to the LORD, and ALL families of the nations will worship/rejoice before Him” ..”Every tongue will – wholeheartedly (the original Greek) confess `Jesus is Lord`! —- I, Yahweh have sworn by oath that every knee shall bend and every tongue swear allegiance.. A river of life flowing from the throne.. and all manner of fruit trees.. The time of the singing of birds is come!”

Those In The Tombs Will Hear His Voice

The word translated punishment in the New Testament scriptures, should usually read correction – like in 2 Peter 2:9 – https://biblehub.com/interlinear/2_peter/2-9.htm – the second part of which says, – “God knows how to preserve the unrighteous to be kept for correction upon ‘day’ of judgment.”

A “father” corrects, even should he punish. But I think the wrath of God, or punishment is by reaping as we sow, and by experiencing our own consequences, like Obadiah 16 says.

My own opinion is that the dead know nothing until as Jesus said, “all in the tombs will hear His voice and rise, some to the resurrection of life and some to the resurrection of judgment” ..and correction! (Jn.5:28) Even like we were corrected, which will be (surely?) their “Day of Atonement” (Lev.23) and reconciliation.

Therefore to me, there is no hell, and no holding place of any kind – except graves with headboards, or beds with gravestones, lol. Hades – “place of the dead” – still being the grave. And no unrepentant upon ‘day’ of judgment means, no ‘hell’, and no dregs of it (in my consciousness).

Not Forever

The saved during this life will serve, thus reign with Jesus, during the millennium/”thousand years” after He returns at the last of the *Trumpets*. “But the rest of the dead live not again/rise not, until after the thousand years”.

So they will miss the millennium. It doesn’t say why. But it does say God will be “all in all” by His “making ALL things NEW”. The “resurrection to the judgment” may consist in all those having “died in their sins” rising still in their sins – initially – but we know Jesus will draw ALL to Himself, Jn.12:32.

“ALL in the tombs/grave will hear His voice and rise, some to the resurrection of Life, and some to the resurrection of judgment” and “correction” (according to the Greek, translated to read punishment, rather than the Fatherly “correction”) – their *’Day’ of Atonement* and reconciliation, which is prefigured by Israel’s national Day of Atonement (of Lev.23). I think of it as DOA for the (initially! not the fabled ‘forever’) doa. The second resurrection will catch up to the first one. Surely? Because Love will rule supreme in ALL hearts. And God Himself “will *Tabernacle* with (all) mankind upon Earth made new” (Revelation 21:1-5).

You’ve likely read how after Jesus “was raised to life” He walked alongside two followers as they were walking “seven miles to Emmaus”. He was invited to dine with them when they got there, and during the meal “He took bread and broke it”. And their eyes were opened, they knew it was Jesus, and then He disappeared from their sight.

They got up immediately and returned to Jerusalem saying, “didn’t our hearts burn within us as He spoke and walked with us along the way!”

“Spoke with us as we walked along the way…” What a beautiful metaphor, parable, simile of life! Like the words of the song, “He walks with me, and talks with me” (all of us) along this road of life. But does that mean the followers had not walked seven miles to Emmaus that day?

If the scripture says of itself, “holy (separated) men wrote as they were borne along by the Spirit of God”, should we contradict God by saying it is parable, metaphor only, and never actually happened?

Beware the spirit (trend) that says “it’s all merely stories to teach spiritual things” – we may begin to wonder if Jesus really came in the flesh (material) and was lifted up in mankind’s sight, executed on a cross, raised back to life, and became “savior of the world” and is coming back again “like lightning which can be seen from east to west”. And take up the chant “where is this coming of His?!”

Also true however, and thankfully, their hearts did not literally burn (to ashes) in their chests! Lol.

Biblical Eschatology

The Lord Jesus will come from heaven with His powerful angels, and in a flaming fire. (From 1 Thessalonians 1:7-8; Note: when the prophecy concerning a lake of fire was given, and translated, they had no idea of man’s modern [fiery] capabilities.)

Jesus said, “Many will come saying I am Lord.. Many false prophets will come and fool many people.. Evil will spread and cause many to stop loving others.. If you are told here is the Messiah or there He is, don’t believe it, for the coming of the Son of man will be like lightning seen from east to west, where there is a corpse there will always be buzzards. Just before then, the sun and moon will be dark and it will look as though the stars are falling and shaking.. All nations upon Earth will weep when they see Him coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory and at the sound of a great trumpet He will send His angels throughout the Earth to gather His own. (From Matthew, chapter 24)

…With a blast of God’s trumpet the Lord will return from heaven.. Not every one of us will die, but we will all be changed ..At the sound of the last trumpet, the dead in Christ will rise and we will all be changed.. this mortal shall put on immortality. (From 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1 Corinthians 15. The ancient Fall Holy Day “Trumpets” is prophecy of this event, Leviticus 23.)

The rest of the dead rise not until after the thousand years (rule of Jesus upon this Earth) and then will begin “the Judgment”, prophesied by the Fall Holy Day called “Day of Atonement”. And “whoever will not afflict their soul on that day will be cut off from the people”. (Leviticus 23)

John 12:32, Jesus said He will draw all to Himself.

Every knee shall bend and every tongue will wholeheartedly -according to the Greek word used – confess Jesus is Lord, to the glory of God the Father of us.. All the ends of Earth will turn to the LORD, and all families of the nations will worship and rejoice before Him. (Philippians 2:10-11 and Psalm 22:27)

The bear will graze with the cow, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. (Isaiah 11:7) Every one will live under their own vine and fruit tree and no one will bother them.. (Micah 4:4)

From Isaiah 45:23 – I the LORD have sworn by oath, that unto Me shall every knee bow.

God is love, and love never fails. (1 John 4:8 and 1 Corinthians 13:8)
