The Idea Of Life Is So Weird

I could be an atheist. I mean the whole idea of life is so weird! As a matter of fact, it’s very weird that there is anything. It seems like there ought to be nothing. Why should there be anything?

Let alone life, all this life. But then, if there truly was nothing. How did there ever get to be something or anything?

No I’d have to be Hindu I think, seeing the spirit of life in all things.. It’s an energy.. Like electricity.. And like the energizer bunny it goes on and on.. It can’t simply cease. But what about a cause.. I’d have to become a Brahmin.. But wait, I was one for a little while when I was in the Rocky Mountains..

Then became apparent the imperfection of what is, and of all things. And so there’s another why, because it seems as though the spirit of life (flowing through all) should not be liable to imperfection.

Could there be something to a story about a tree of good and evil? Does the existence of individual creatures, with rationality, change the fabric of reality? Able to think and reason, they can make choices. This changes everything!

Taking into account the potential perfection of what is, and the perfection of the spark and force called life.. Am I now to think there is no perfection behind this imperfection? If there must be a great cause (brahma) that so perfectly gives life and design, do I now expect humanity to simply be some sort of utter failure? Or is it still part of some greater perfection and design? Can the (‘end’) result be anything less than perfect? Is it possible for chaos to win out? To win even a speck? Or is there a faint memory of a promise, “behold I make all things new” and how the newness shall be “all in all” and death and the grave (translated hell) will be no more…

The Burning Lake

I wonder if the first sincere Christians who ever read the Book of Revelation, had been of this modern and technological age, would the understanding of some things in the vision be much more obvious?

But it’s kind of a trick isn’t it? A riddle.. requiring one to seek, ask, knock? In their earnest pursuit of truth, second only to the pursuit of Him! A veiling of the vision (one of at least three more like it). That we must read the vision through the eyes of ancient man.

Revelation says mankind’s last, great battle will be fought in the valley outside Jerusalem. Ironically, this is the same valley where Israel, like the Canaanite nations around her “offered their sons and daughters (live) in fires to Baal-Molech”. [Wrath of God (unavoidably, but conveniently) is consequences/results?]

A last great battle, of man, with modern weaponry, over all that oil.. a “lake of burning fire”..

Earlier in the book is mentioned.. the sky is split.. there is loud noise and lightning (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHhEl9a37OA – a 59 second video) the sky becomes dark.. the light of sun and moon decreased..

I believe lake of fire is mentioned three times. When Jesus returns – He “comes in fire and with angels” (2 Thess.1:7,8) and the beast, the larger of the two of chapter 13 (with “ten” divisions “in the last hour”) and the false prophet/teaching(!) are thrown into the lake of fire.

The second mention is “after the thousand years” (the millennium) when Satan is let loose for a short spell, and some of mankind – made up of survivors of the apocalypse – will “surround the camp of God at Jerusalem, but fire comes down from the sky..” and Satan is thrown to the lake of fire. This is just before the resurrection of all who have ever lived and have not believed in (or have not heard of) Jesus.

The third mention is, I believe, at the vivification “of all things” which follows “the judgment”/Judgment ‘Day’. Anyone (still?) not believing “goes to lake of fire aionian” – a Greek word used to say “of a duration” even age, age to age, but not ‘forever’, and is the root word of “eon”. Lake of fire is not ‘forever’.

“Our God is a consuming fire”.. “will consume all chaff” preserving the kernel, the wheat. “Behold I make all things new”.. “in which the elements will melt with fervent heat ..according to His promise we are waiting for a new heavens and a new Earth” ..”Behold I make all things new” ..and John “saw a new heavens and a new Earth”.. (which we are citizens of now!) – Rev.21:1-5; 2 Peter 3:12,13; Mt.3:12.

Apocalypse Summary

🌽To whomever has ears, to hear.

The trumpets of Revelation/Apocalypse have not yet sounded.

The first advent of Jesus had an announcement.

The ‘John the Baptist’ of His long second advent is the trumpets. [According to the pattern of the Autumn Holy Days of Lev.23, the second advent of Jesus will be two ages and will last 1500 years.]

We are in, and have been in for a while, the pause of seal six (Rev.6:12-17 and 7:1-3). But the KEY to the verse is how it is described – as a blend – of its first at Opening, and its last when it is full blown. That event was also Rev.13:13. But the KEY to that verse is, it does NOT pinpoint an individual, but an office. It is #2 ‘character’ of the chapter, who will sometime during the sounding of the trumpets, “give ‘breath’ to” the first ‘character’ of the chapter.

Lesser KEY: Chapter 12 is an insert, a history all its own.. A great sign, a virgin will conceive. In the chapter is Herod the Great; 70a.d; the inquisitions; the Mayflower; Mt.23:39; and Rev.16:14-16, the gathering of the ‘tares’ to Armageddon.

ONE more thing. The “false prophet” another prominent ‘character’ is THE false prophet/teacher/teaching which has/is causing western civilization – once called Christendom – to “fall away” from the faith, via ‘his’ “strong delusion”.

KEY – the words of the Baptist, Mt.3:1-3.. And, be a Philadelphian, Rev.3:10.

1 Jn. 4:8 – Love rules.. even during this learning of good from evil. When our Father endowed thinking ability, a whole new world, or tree, of possibilities came about, 1Tim.4:10 (Rev.3:10).

There’s two things in my life which make me wonder if at heart, I am still to some degree, a Pagan. (Lol)

One being I love the phrase Holy Ghost. I don’t use it, but often want to.. It’s outdated I guess.. people wouldn’t know what to think.. lol.

The other is my Christmas tree with its colorful lights. Reminds me of stained glass.. the only stained glass in my life right now.

Do I have to give these two things up? I don’t worship the tree.. or decorate it in the name of a strange God. I’m not even thinking of a supposed guy named ‘Santa’, but to be honest, our Father in heaven, in many ways, reminds me of the fictional Santa.. After all, “God is love” 1 Jn.4:8.

It’s kind of like the Sabbath, I think. I love to observe the original Sabbath, especially as it begins on Friday evening. And it may indeed be the superior thing. But I don’t think it’s a commandment for Gentile believers, per the Jerusalem council in Acts chapter 15.

So for now, I’ll leave it at that. Should the Spirit of God say otherwise, I pray I have ears to hear. Always!

God bless your coming year!

DOA for the DOA

When we realize how Jesus died at the very hour of the Passover sacrifice, was shut into the tomb as Unleavened Bread began, and rose three evenings later as Firstfruits was beginning, it’s not so long a stretch to realize the pattern of His long second advent is revealed in the pattern of Israel’s ancient Autumn Holy Days — of Trumpets (10days later is) Day Of Atonement (and 5days later is) Tabernacles — Representing the three peaks of our Lord’s second advent — His Return (then His millennial rule of a 1000 years, followed by) the Resurrection of Those not Saved (and then the Judgment, followed by) the “All in All” event when “All Things are Made New” and “God will now tabernacle with mankind upon Earth.. wherein righteousness is to dwell”.

Making it Day of Atonement, for the doa, the initially ‘dead on arrival’ (having risen “still in their sins”). [Lev.23]

Ps. 22:27 — “All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD. All the families of the nations will bow down before Him.”

Exactly As The Scriptures Say

A little after Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, accompanied by praise, John 12:16 says, “everything has happened, exactly as the scriptures said it would”.

Later, Jesus and His disciples were outside Jerusalem when the disciples asked Him where He wanted them to prepare, so they could have the Passover meal together. As we know, their ‘days’ started at sunset (rather than at midnight). And likely the sun was setting, for John 13:1-5 says of later that evening, “before the festival of Passover.. He rose from supper and washed the feet of the disciples..”

But Mark 14:12, of the same day and hour, says it was the first day of the festival of Unleavened/Thin Bread “when the Passover lamb they were to sacrifice”. (This is how the interlinear word for word phrases it.) And we know the Passover lambs were prepared on Passover, which is the 14th of Nisan, and were sacrificed that same day – which had begun at sunset – at the time of the daily late afternoon, temple sacrifice. And the ‘Passover’ meal – commemorating the exodus out of Egypt during the night – was eaten then, after sunset, which begins the 15th of Nisan. And is the actual “first day of Unleavened Bread”. But it is still called the Passover meal. It was common to call the whole Spring Holy Week either Unleavened Bread, or Passover, blurring the days a little.

Jesus sent the disciples to make arrangements and procure a room, the upstairs room where a little later they shared the humble meal of bread and wine, His “last supper” (in preparation for the events about to occur).

We know He was arrested later that night, in the garden called Mt. of Olives. (Also from where He ascended and will return. Acts 1:11; Zech.14:4)

The next morning, when Jesus was before Pilate, John 19:14,15 says – “It was the day of preparation of Passover. The hour was about the third” (day hours began at six a.m. so third hour would be nine a.m.) “And Pilate said, ‘Behold your king!’.. and they answered ‘we have no king but Caesar!’…”

By a careful reading of verses, we see how He was brought during early morning/late night hours to the priests, to Pilates palace, then to Herod, and then back to Pilate.

And we can see Jesus was sentenced at the very hour of the temple morning sacrifice, which was daily at third hour, 9 a.m.

The soldiers, etc. put a purple robe upon Him and mocked and beat Him. And then there was the carrying of the cross and the procession to Golgotha hill.

And He died that day at 3:00 p.m., the very hour of the second daily temple sacrifice, and the hour on that day (Passover/Nisan 14) of the sacrificing of the annual Passover lamb.

And this, is how Jesus our Passover Lamb, “kept the Passover with His disciples”.

As evening was dawning, He was put into the tomb. Likely right as the sun was setting, for Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus were in a hurry to wrap Him with spices and put Him into the tomb before beginning of “the feast day/Sabbath, for that was a high Sabbath” when the actual Passover meal is eaten. And if they had been in touch with a dead body upon that feast day (the 15th) they could not join the feast. But would be “outside the feast”. — The first day of Unleavened Bread (Nisan 15) is a high Sabbath. And of course, that day begins at sunset (which to us would still be the 14th).

He was placed into the tomb at sunset, just as Unleavened Bread was beginning. He was the unleavened pure bread of life “in the grave for three nights and three days” just as He said He would be.

He rose exactly three sunsets later — as the regular weekly Sabbath was ending, and third Holy Day of the week began, which is called “Firstfruits”. This day always followed the regular weekly Sabbath of Spring Holy Week, thus always falling upon the first day of the week.

1 Corinthians 15:23 calls Him “Jesus the Firstfruits”.

This is the pattern of events, that fulfills the Spring Holy Days. It may perhaps involve a tiny bit of circular reasoning(?) But I believe it is just too perfect, to not be true.

“Everything has happened exactly as the scriptures said it would” – Mark 14:12.

And of course, on Day of Pentecost a few weeks later, the “promised Holy Spirit of God was poured out” upon the believers, and will be ultimately “poured out upon all flesh” (Acts 2:17).

Since He so very perfectly fulfilled the pattern of the Spring Holy Days, via His first advent, I believe it is logical to assume the pattern of the Autumn Holy Days of – Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles – will be perfectly fulfilled, via His long second advent.

The three main peaks of that advent being:

~ His return ~ ‘Day’ of Judgment ~ and the “all in all” event..

…when the Son gives the kingdom to the Father “all things subdued/under Jesus’ feet” and the Father makes “all things new” that “He may be all in all”. And God, the Father, “will now tabernacle/dwell with mankind upon Earth made new”.

“A new heavens and Earth wherein righteousness is to dwell”! (1 Cor.15:22-28; Rev.21:1-5; 2 Peter 3:13)

The Autumn Holy Days:

Trumpets – Day of Atonement – Tabernacles

A blowing of trumpets.. And
He returns at the last trump(et). There are “10 days” between Trumpets and Day of Atonement.

Day of Atonement was/is an annual, collective day of repentance and reconciliation, a strict Sabbath/day of no work and whoever will not submit on that day would be cast out and away from the people. (Leviticus 23:26-32)

(However) “Yahweh has sworn/taken an oath/declared and will not take it back, that to Him every knee will bow, every tongue will confess allegiance” (Isaiah 45:23).

Philippians 11:3 – “Every tongue will wholeheartedly confess Jesus is Lord” (per the Greek) “to the glory (praise, compliment) of God”.

“All the ends of Earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all families of the nations will worship before Him” – Psalm 22:27.

There is “five days” between Day Of Atonement and Tabernacles.

It’s not hard to see the trumpets of Bible prophecy and His return at the sounding of the 7th/last one. Then the “1000 years” called His millennial rule. (Represented by the “10 days” between Trumpets and Day of Atonement.)

After which – “the rest of the dead come back to life after the thousand years”. And then begins “the Judgment”.

If the 10 days between Trumpets and Day of Atonement, represent the 1000 years – the Millennium – it seems logical, the 5 days between Day of Atonement and Tabernacles represents 500 years.

Will the Judgment be a great Day of Atonement lasting 500 years? Wherein all enmity/hostility will be vanquished and “put under Jesus’ feet” and “the last enemy to be subdued will be death”. So that the Psalmist cried out “Oh death! Where is thy sting?!”

I understand this is speculation. But I believe it to be very scripture based and logical.

The third Holy Day of Autumn Holy Week of course is Tabernacles. How can we not be reminded of Revelation 21:3 “God will now tabernacle with mankind” upon Earth made new.. When “all things” are “made new”. And God shall be “all in all”. (1 Corinthians 15:22-28; Ephesians 1:10; Colossians 1:20)

The Telescoping Of 3.5

There is a 3.5 in Daniel 12:11,12 with Daniel 9:27. And in Revelation, the two witnesses, lay expired in the street for 3.5 days. Revelation 12:14, the woman (believers?) kept safe from the “face of the adversary” for a 3.5.

So there seems to be three. One is 100’s; one is years, and one is days.

Thinking of eschatology and how it relates to (mingles with?) the growing idea of what’s called Universal Salvation or Christian Universalism. The belief that Jesus will draw all just as He said. (Jn.12:32) The idea that God cannot be less than totally successful at being “the savior of all”. (1Tim.4:10)’

I think perhaps, there is another 3.5 from His crucifixion and resurrection, to that day when God becomes all in all. I’ve begun to think of it as the all in all event. And coinciding with Revelation 21:1-5 when the Father makes all things new.

Now that’s the thing. Where do I get the 3.5? (Raise your hand if you know!)

Well, it’s into the 2000’s now.. since He was here (from His ascension!)

If man’s system implodes in the not far distant future, called apocalypse, and the millennium begin – and lasts a thousand years, that brings us to the 3000.

And if “the Judgment” lasts 500 years – represented by the 5 days between the Fall Holy Days, of Day Of Atonement and Tabernacles, brings it to year 3500, another 3.5.

A 3.5 between His advents.

There’s 10 days between Trumpets and Day of Atonement. (Representing the millennium?)

I think this pattern strongly suggests and supports UR /CU!

(I believe the pattern whether there’s this 3.5 between His advents, or not. Making Day of Judgment to be Day of Atonement. [UR/CU]

The playing out like a telescoping.. 3.5 being used as days, as years, as centuries, and as millenniums.
